1 onion, chopped finely
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp curry powder or paste
4 oz raw chicken or cooked ham
1 oz chopped or pureed apple
1 egg
3 oz flour
seasoning
- Fry chopped onion in the oil
- Add curry, chopped meat and diced apple.
- Cook for a few minutes.
- Make batter with egg, flour, 1/4 pt water and seasoning.
- Grease small patty tins.
- Heat and half fill with batter.
- Cook at 200C/Gas 6 for about 10 minutes.
- Add spoonful of meat and top with batter.
- Cook 12 minutes until golden.
Makes about 10
Variation: I haven't tried it but it would also be nice made with courgette, butternut squash or similar.
