Representatives just came to the door to see if we were interested. It's apparently a scheme designed to give people the confidence and the wherewithall to cook their own meals, excellent for people who've never tried much cooking and don't know where to start (and, incidentally, make lots of money for the company!).
But this might not be much good for people like us who love cooking, have been cooking for years and frequently try different recipes and interesting ingredients.
I should imagine there are plenty of people who learnt to cook just a few recipes either at school or from their Mum, Gran or Dad and have never moved on from those meals.
The price per meal ranges from £3.20 per portion up to £6.50, plus delivery. And they reckon it's cheaper than buying the ingredients from Sainsburys or other shops. Perhaps that may be because it isn't necessary to buy whole packets of food where you may only use a percentage and the rest eventually get thrown away once it's out of date.
